Brown Rice Tortillas - product & recipe failure!

So, the other night I made Chicken Enchiladas. Not a newsflash or anything, been making them for years. Very tasty recipe I got from a friend. I figured it would be an easy dish to convert at least part of it into GF, as the only part containing major gluten would be the tortilla wraps (I usually use flour tortillas). Recipe also calls for cream of something soup, which can be substituted with a GF version (homemade or I think there's ones you can buy now). I just used Campbell's because that's what I had on hand (I know, I know. Yes...there's flour in it).

A few weeks ago I found these Brown Rice Tortillas at Save On Foods (Safeway has them too).

They're in the frozen foods section. I tried them for lunch one day, kinda dry and broke as I rolled it up. Thought maybe if I warmed them first it would be better. Nope, not really. They did roll a bit better, but still dry tasting. So when I was thinking of making the Chicken Enchiladas, I remembered I had these still in the freezer and thought perfect way to use them up and they would be covered in sauce so maybe not as dry.

2 hours later (they take a long time to prepare and bake), I took the pan out of the oven. Looked normal, compared to the others (made half with flour tortillas for DH and DD and half with the rice tortillas for me). But no, they were very mushy and didn't taste good at all - recipe failure! I did eat them, but they were not enjoyable. Next time I'll try corn tortillas. Only positive was that the flour tortillas turned out fine, so no complaints from the other side of the table! :)
